Tournament
Format
|
The format is matchplay (lowest score wins the
hole). A trophy point is awarded to the winner (most holes won) or a half-point is awarded to both sides in the event
of a tied score (all square).
|

Other
|
The Tournament will be decided out of 14 trophy
points. In the event of a tie - trophy points (7 all) then the FFTMCC
retain the Trophy. Otherwise, first to 7 or more trophy points is the
winner.

Part II – The Day
With players from both teams
dropping in and out of the eventual line-ups, teams were settled prior to the
day with Russ Turner kindly stepping in to make the two teams even (Keith
Ponsford was a ninth Isis player previously stepping down to make an eight). Messrs
Whiter and Howarth agreed to no handicaps on the day, so the final line-ups
looked like thus in alphabetical form:

Part IV – Summation
A thank you to Spam, and both
Keith Ponsford and Whiter for organising the course and the day. A close
affair, but ultimately the neighbours nicked their trophy back. Here’s to
next year and of course an easy MAD victory as they reclaim the trophy.
